Mr. Hanley has been a member of the Texas Bar since 1995. He graduated magna cum
laude from Trident College in Charleston, South Carolina in 1988 with a degree in Public Service.
He received his Bachelor's Degree from the University of New York in 1990. Mr. Hanley
received his Doctor of Jurisprudence degree with honors from the Oklahoma City University
School of Law in 1994. While in law school, Mr. Hanley received the American Jurisprudence
Award for academic excellence in the study of criminal procedure. Mr. Hanley has practiced law in
Houston since 1995.

       Prior to practicing law Mr. Hanley was a police officer with the Houston Police Department
and the Charleston Police Department in South Carolina. As a police officer Mr. Hanley’s
assignments included Dignitary Protection, Helicopter Patrol, In-Progress Felony Response Team
(“Flying Squad”) and Tactical Drug Interdiction. Mr. Hanley's exploits as a police officer have
been chronicled in the Baltimore Sun Times, Chicago Sun Times, numerous articles and columns
in local Charleston newspapers and on TV's NBC News and 48 Hours.

  Mr. Hanley also spent time assigned to the DWI Task Force. Mr. Hanley was trained in DWI
detection including the administration of all “standard field sobriety tests”. This experience &
training has proven valuable in Mr. Hanley’s representation of clients charged with DWI.     

       Mr. Hanley has handled hundreds of cases and has a proven track record of successfully
representing citizens of Texas who have been accused of crimes. Mr. Hanley has represented
clients and obtained acquittals/dismissals throughout Texas in state and federal court. Mr. Hanley
has successfully represented clients in Harris County, Galveston County, Brazoria County, Fort
Bend County, Wharton County, Montgomery County, Bexar County, Polk County, Dallas County,
Tarrant  County and Jefferson County.

       Mr. Hanley has also taught college courses and lectured in the areas of criminal law and
criminal procedure.

       In addition to criminal law Mr. Hanley practices in the areas of business & corporate law,
including representing clients in international business transactions,
wills & probate, collections
and
real estate.

       Mr. Hanley is an experienced business law attorney who has handled business formations,
contract negotiations and complicated Intellectual Property licensing. Mr. Hanley as been the Chief
Legal Counsel for several corporations based in Houston,  including Resistive Heat Cure,
Intralaminar Heat Cure, Applied Cure Technologies, and Carbon Fiber Heating Innovations and
Hanco Enterprises. Mr. Hanley has assisted many small businesses in the initial formation and start-
up of their businesses. Several of these businesses are now multi-million dollar enterprises. Mr.
Hanley was also Chief Litigation Counsel in Texas for Paradigm Insurance Company.

       Mr. Hanley is a single parent with three children. He and his children enjoy outdoor activities
and sports and are active in the Children’s Ministry and High School Ministry of their church
where Mr. Hanley teaches single adult
 ans single parent bible study classes.
